Gunmen have abducted a 60-year-old headmaster, identified as Isaac Oyediran, in Oyo State, with the kidnappers reportedly demanding a ₦30 million ransom for his release.

The victim was said to have been kidnapped while returning home, throwing his family and the local community into distress.

Confirming the incident, the Oyo State Police tells residents that efforts were underway to secure the headmaster’s safe release and apprehend those responsible for the crime.

Family members disclosed that the kidnappers later established contact and demanded ₦30 million before releasing the 60-year-old educator.

The latest abduction has heightened concerns over the growing incidence of kidnapping in parts of Oyo State, with residents calling on security agencies to intensify efforts to tackle the menace and ensure the safety of lives and property.

Police urged members of the public to remain vigilant and provide useful information that could assist in the rescue operation and the arrest of the suspects.
