The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control has warned manufacturers of banned alcoholic beverages packaged in sachets and small containers to immediately recall the affected products from the market or face regulatory sanctions, including possible closure of their facilities.
NAFDAC issued the warning on Monday as it intensified enforcement of the ban on alcoholic beverages packaged in sachets, warning that manufacturers found to be in violation could face strict action.
The agency said affected companies must take immediate steps to withdraw the prohibited products from circulation as part of efforts to enforce the directive and protect public health.
NAFDAC stressed that failure to comply with the recall order could attract severe regulatory measures, including the shutdown of affected manufacturing facilities.
