The Spanish national team  defeated the Three Lions of England to lift the Euro trophy. The final match was held in Berlin, Germany, on Sunday night.

Spain’s Mikel Oyarzabal scored the winning goal in the 86th minute, securing the trophy for a record fourth time. Earlier in the second half, Nico Williams put Spain ahead, but Cole Palmer equalized for England.

In a last minute attempt, Marc Guehi tried to score for England, but Dani Olmo blocked the effort, sealing the win for Spain.

This victory marks Spain’s fourth Euro title, having previously won in 1964, 2008, and 2012. Their golden era, which included players like Xavi Hernandez, Xabi Alonso, and Andres Iniesta, also saw them win the 2010 World Cup.

England, on the other hand, has set a record for losing back to back Euros finals, after their defeat on penalties to Italy three years ago.

The English national team has not won an international title since the 1966 World Cup.
