Kaduna State government has announced that sixteen almajiri children deported from Kano State have tested positive for the ravaging coronavirus pandemic.

According to Kaduna State Commissioner for Health, Amina Baloni, in a statement on Thursday, the test results of the almajiris returned positive from the samples of 40 people who took the test.

It should be recalled that the Kano State Government had sent many almajiri kids back to their home states, including Kaduna, as part of their measures to reduce the spread of the pandemic in its state.
