Nigerian indigenous vehicle manufacturer, Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited has donated three operational vehicles to the Nigeria Police Force as support for the take-off of community policing in the country.

The donation was in furtherance of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR), “community support and other efforts in support of ongoing efforts at repositioning the Force for optimal performance”.

This was made known in a statement by Frank Mba, Force Spokesperson, in a statement issued on Tuesday.

Mba said the vehicles – Innoson G12 Series, consisting of the Single Cabin Pick-up Truck MSI, Double Cabin Pick-up Truck MSII and the SUV MSIII – were presented to the Force by Mr. Jonas Maduabuchukwu Ojukwu on behalf of Dr. Innocent Chukwuma, the company’s Chief Executive Officer (CEO) and Management.

The three vehicles were received by Abdulmajid Ali, Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG), Department of Operations, who represented Mohammed Adamu, the Inspector-General of Police (IGP).

Ali, in his remarks, expressed his appreciation to Dr. Chukwuma, and the Management of “Innoson Vehicle Manufacturing Company Limited for their kind gesture towards the Force”.

“He noted that with public support of this nature, the Nigeria Police Force will no doubt be able to meet its operational and infrastructural needs in combating crimes and criminality in the country,” the Force Sokesperson noted in the statement.

“He enjoins other well-meaning individuals and corporate bodies to emulate the gesture.”
