Iran has stated that the full reopening of the Strait of Hormuz will ultimately depend on actions by the United States, despite a reported agreement brokered through Oman.

Iranian officials indicated that while diplomatic efforts have helped reduce tensions, lasting stability in the strategic waterway will require further commitments and confidence-building measures involving Washington.

The Strait of Hormuz remains one of the world’s most critical oil shipping routes, making developments in the region closely watched by global energy markets and the international community.

Analysts say any disruption or uncertainty surrounding the waterway could have significant implications for global oil prices and international trade.
