United States President Donald Trump has reaffirmed America’s commitment to supporting Nigeria in its fight against terrorism in a letter sent to President Bola Ahmed Tinubu. The correspondence was in response to an earlier message from the Nigerian leader, according to the Presidency.

In the letter, Trump commended Tinubu’s leadership and efforts to tackle insecurity, expressing appreciation for the Nigerian president’s commitment to protecting citizens and confronting terrorist threats. He also pledged continued cooperation between both countries on security matters.

The development signals growing security collaboration between Nigeria and the United States, with both nations expected to deepen cooperation through intelligence sharing, training and other counter-terrorism initiatives.
