The Governor of Zamfara State, Dauda Lawal, on Friday night held an emergency meeting with members of his cabinet and key stakeholders of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to deliberate on the political direction of the state.
Sources at the meeting disclosed that discussions centered on the prevailing political climate and strategic decisions ahead of future engagements.
At the end of the deliberations, stakeholders reportedly recommended that the governor consider joining the All Progressives Congress (APC) as part of efforts to reposition the state politically.
