Lagos State Government has announced the discharge of twenty coronavirus patients, who recovered from the virus disease and successfully tested negative.

The Lagos State Ministry of Health made the announcement on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle.

“20 #COVID19 Lagos patients; 6 females & 14 males, all Nigerians have been discharged from our Isolation facilities to reunite with the society,” the health ministry tweeted.

“The patients; 11 from Gbagada, 8 from Eti-Osa (LandMark) and 1 from Agidingbi Isolation Centres were discharged having fully recovered & tested negative to #COVID19.

“This brings to 928, the number of #COVID19 confirmed cases successfully managed and discharged in Lagos now.”

Similarly, the government of Edo State, hours earlier, announced the discharge of 17 COVID-19 patients, bringing the total to 89 in the state.

“We have discharged 17 more #COVID19 patients from the state’s isolation centres, bringing the total number of those discharged to 89,” the state governor, Godwin Obaseki tweeted.

“Sadly, the death toll from the virus in the state has risen to 17.

“We salute our resolute frontline workers this period. Stay safe.”
