Nigeria has recorded twenty-two new cases of coronavirus, bringing the total number to 276.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control NCDC made the disclosure on Wednesday via its verified twitter handle.
Of the twenty-two new cases, 15 cases were confirmed in Lagos, four in Abuja, two in Bauchi and one in Edo.
No new death was recorded as the death toll remained at six while discharged cases stood at 44.
NCDC tweet reads: “Twenty-two new cases of #COVID19 have been reported in Nigeria: 15 in Lagos, 4 in the FCT, 2 in Bauchi, 1 in Edo
“As at 09:00pm 8th April there are 276 confirmed cases of #COVID19 reported in Nigeria. Fourty-four have been discharged with six deaths.”
A detailed breakdown of confirmed cases according to states provided by NCDC shows Lagos remains the highest with 145, Abuja 54, Osun 20, Oyo 11, Edo 12, Bauchi 8, Akwa Ibom 5, Kaduna 5, Ogun 4, Enugu 2, Ekiti 2, Rivers 2 and Kwara 2. Benue, Ondo, Delta, and Katsina all have one case each.
