Confirming the incident, Sufyan’s colleagues, Aminu Auwal, in a post on Facebook, described Sufyan as a noble and dedicated individual who chose to stay in the village despite constant bandit attacks.

“I feel sad to inform you that our noble colleague; the principal of GSS KURIGA (SNR). MAL IDRIS ABU SUFYAN, has been killed by bandits and also kidnapped his wife with baby boy. May the Almighty Allah forgive his shortcomings and also grant him Aljannatul firdausi. Amen”, he wrote.

In a similar development, suspected gunmen have abducted one Abdullahi Sabo, a resident of the Federal Capital Territory (FCT) who was driving home with his wife on Friday, January 19, 2024.

The gunmen intercepted his vehicle at Sabon- Lugbe, Airport Road in the nation’s capital.

The victim was driving in his Ash color Lexus Jeep with registration number ABC 769 TP when the unfortunate incident occurred.

It was gathered that he had left the city centre and was heading home when the attackers inside an unmarked Golf car opened fire and deflated the tires of the jeep.

This incident is coming less than 48 hours after gunmen invaded the Army Estate in Kurudu, in Abuja, and abducted some residents.

Also, at town hall meetings in Bwari and Gwagwalada Area Councils, Minister of FCT, Barrister Nyesom Wike, had assured residents of their safety, saying adequate security measures had been put in place.
