President of Dangote Industries Limited, Aliko Dangote, has commended President Bola Ahmed Tinubu for what he described as bold economic decisions, particularly the removal of fuel subsidy and reforms in the foreign exchange market.

Dangote made the remarks on Monday in Lagos during the formal launch of the Initial Public Offering of Dangote Petroleum Refinery and Petrochemicals. He expressed appreciation for the administration’s decision to remove the subsidy and liberalise the foreign exchange market.

According to him, the reforms have created an environment that supports investment and has enabled businesses to operate with greater confidence.

Dangote also commended President Tinubu’s leadership, noting that the Dangote Refinery would continue to support the administration’s efforts to strengthen Nigeria’s economy.

He said Dangote Group would continue to partner with the Federal Government in contributing to Nigeria’s development and broader economic growth.

The businessman, who is a former president of the Nigerian Exchange, also expressed surprise at the transformation of the Nigerian capital market, recalling his previous efforts to help reposition the exchange as a world-class institution.

The Dangote Refinery IPO, which opened on Monday, offers 4.1 billion new ordinary shares at ₦525 per share, with a minimum subscription of 10 shares valued at ₦5,250. The offer is scheduled to close on October 13, 2026, subject to the terms of the prospectus.
