At least 15 travellers have been abducted by suspected Boko Haram terrorists along Maiduguri – Damaturu highway.

MERIDIAN SPY gathered that the attackers ambushed travellers on the highway at about 2pm on Monday.

They eventually waylaid a Toyota Hiace Mass Transit bus and took all passengers from the vehicle.

A source said the attackers were fully armed and wore military uniforms when they invaded the travellers, adding that they later released the bus driver.

Sahara Reporters reports the spot where the insurgents attacked was not far from a military checkpoint.

Similarly, the terrorists on Monday attacked the 333 Artillery Barracks in Maiduguri, Borno State.
