‘No Record Or Asset Was Affected’, Says CBN On Fire At Gombe Office

The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has explained the cause of the fire incident which occurred at its branch office in Gombe State.

The apex bank, in a statement, explained that the cause of the fire was as a result of an electrical fault, adding that it partially destroyed some furniture in the branch Controller’s office.

“Today, a minor fire incident was reported at our Gombe branch,” the CBN noted on Twitter.

“The fire which started from an electrical fault and partially destroyed some furniture in the Branch Controller’s office, was promptly put out.

“There was no injury and no record or other asset of the Bank was affected.”
