Edo State Governor, Godwin Obaseki has formally announced his resignation from the All Progressive Congress (APC).

Obaseki made the announcement this morning after meeting with President Muhammadu Buhari at the Presidential Villa.

The announcement has laid to rest the wide speculations of his planned exit from the party.

Recall the governor was disqualified from participating in the APC state gubernatorial primaries by the party’s screening committee over defects in his High School and National Youth Service Corps (NYSC) certificates.

More details soon.
