VP Osinbajo Tests Negative For Coronavirus

Vice President, Yemi Osinbajo has tested negative for the deadly coronavirus pandemic.

The Senior Special Assistant on Media and Publicity to the Vice President, Laolu Akande confirmed this, stating that the Vice President had undergone test for COVID-19 and the result returned negative.

He said: “Good morning sirs and ma: have been inundated with calls on whether indeed the VP had undergone a COVID19 test and the outcome. Yes he has and results negative. An official tweet would follow. Thanks.” the Cable reports.

The vice president had gone into isolation after top government official of the presidential villa had tested positive for the virus, including the Chief of Staff to the president, Abba Kyari, amongst others. President Muhammadu Buhari however tested negative.

The number of confirmed cases of COVID-19 in the country as at 7: 00 am Wednesday 25th March is 46, with 2 persons discharged and 1 death recorded.
