Minister of Health, Dr Osagie Ehanire, said the result of the Nigerian who had contact with the Italian, who tested positive to the virus, had returned negative.

The minister disclosed this on Friday while giving an update of the deadly disease in the country.

Ehanire said the patient, who was Nigeria’s second case, will soon be allowed to go home.

It should be recalled that Nigeria recorded its index case of the deadly coronavirus disease in February after the Italian who flew into the country through a Turkish Airlines flight tested positive to the virus.
