Tinubu confers National Honour on Senate President, CJN, Speaker, others

President Bola Tinubu has conferred National Honours on the Senate President Godswill Akpabio, Chief Justice of Nigeria (CJN) Kudirat Kekere-Ekun, Deputy Senate President, Barau Jibrin, Speaker of the House of Representatives, Tajudeen Abbas and his Deputy Benjamin Kalu.

This was contained in the President’s nationwide broadcast on Tuesday, October 1, 2024.

According to Tinubu, the Senate President and the Chief Justice of Nigeria have been conferred the honour of the Grand Commander of the Order of the Niger (GCON) while the Deputy Senate President and Speaker of the House of Representatives have honour of the Commander of the Order of the Federal Republic (CFR) while the Deputy Speaker, has been awarded Commander of the Order of Niger (CON).
