The Elder brother to Rotimi Amaechi, Nigeria’s Minister of Transportation, Dede Amaechi has passed away.

This was made known in a statement by Presidential Media Aide, Garba Shehu on Saturday via his verified Twitter handle.

Shehu extended the President, Muhammadu Buhari’s condolence to the transportation minister over the demise of his brother.

“In this moment of grief, our thoughts and prayers are with the Amaechi family and people of Rivers State.” the presidential media aide quoted the president to have said.
