The Federal Government has announced plans to reduce the cost of petrol for Nigerians for one month as part of measures aimed at easing the impact of rising fuel prices on citizens.

The initiative was disclosed by the government as it moves to provide temporary relief to motorists and other fuel consumers amid concerns over the rising cost of transportation and living expenses.

Under the planned arrangement, Nigerians are expected to enjoy cheaper petrol during the one-month period, with the government working with relevant stakeholders to implement the measure.

The development is part of broader efforts by the Federal Government to cushion the economic pressure facing households and businesses, particularly the effect of high energy and transportation costs.

Details of the implementation, including the commencement date and the expected price reduction, are expected to be communicated by the relevant authorities.
