The Federal Government has highlighted 14 key funding, entrepreneurship, digital skills, and vocational development programmes available to empower Nigerian youths, as part of ongoing efforts to tackle unemployment, promote innovation, and drive inclusive economic growth.
The initiatives, coordinated by various ministries, departments, and agencies, are designed to equip young Nigerians with in-demand skills, improve access to finance, and support business development across sectors including technology, agriculture, manufacturing, and the creative economy.
The opportunities include the YouthCred Scheme, Nigerian Youth Academy (NiYA), Student Venture Capital Grant, GROW Fund, Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) Programme, NIYA Gigs, Digital Skills Programme, Green Money Project, Youth Farmers’ Scheme, Creative Economy initiatives, Entrepreneurship, Innovation and Business Incubation Certification (EIBIC), Three Million Technical Talent (3MTT) Programme, NITDA digital innovation programmes, and NASENI skills acquisition and community empowerment initiatives.
According to the Federal Government, the programmes are intended to expand economic opportunities for young Nigerians by fostering entrepreneurship, enhancing employability, and strengthening the country’s human capital development agenda.
Eligible applicants are encouraged to monitor official government portals and participating agencies for application guidelines, eligibility criteria, and programme timelines.
