The Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) has disbursed a total of ₦2.343 trillion to the three tiers of government, Federal, State and Local Governments, for the month of December 2025, representing revenue generated in November 2025.

‎

‎According to the FAAC disbursement report, the Federal Government received ₦747.16 billion, state governments shared ₦601.73 billion, while local government councils got ₦445.27 billion. An additional ₦134.36 billion was allocated to the 13 per cent derivation fund for oil-producing states.

‎

‎A breakdown of the statutory allocation shows that the Federal Government received ₦668.34 billion, states got ₦338.99 billion, and local governments received ₦261.35 billion. Other revenues, largely from the Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL), stood at ₦5.95 billion for the Federal Government, ₦19.82 billion for states, and ₦13.88 billion for local governments.

‎

‎From Value Added Tax (VAT), FAAC distributed ₦485.84 billion, with the Federal Government receiving ₦72.88 billion, states ₦242.92 billion, and local governments ₦170.04 billion, in line with the approved revenue-sharing formula.

‎

‎The report further shows that ₦49.77 billion was transferred to the Midstream and Downstream Gas Infrastructure Fund (MDGIF), while ₦20 billion was paid into the Non-Oil Excess Account. A sum of ₦43.61 billion, representing 0.5 per cent of non-oil revenue, was allocated to the Revenue Mobilisation, Allocation and Fiscal Commission (RMAFC).

‎

‎Other deductions included ₦41.21 billion for the cost of collection by the Federal Inland Revenue Service (FIRS), ₦16.64 billion for the Nigeria Customs Service (NCS), and ₦26.40 billion for the Nigerian Upstream Petroleum Regulatory Commission (NUPRC). The North East Development Commission received ₦16.22 billion, while ₦18.16 billion was set aside for refunds on petrol subsidy and priority projects.

‎

‎Meanwhile, the Federal Government’s share from the Consolidated Revenue Fund (CRF) stood at ₦581.20 billion, while the Federal Capital Territory (FCT), Abuja, received a total allocation of ₦17.58 billion.

‎

‎The FAAC report noted that the allocations reflect statutory deductions and transfers as approved by relevant laws and regulations governing revenue distribution in Nigeria.
