The Defence Headquarters (DHQ) has vowed to unmask and bring to justice the terrorists responsible for the recent bomb attack in Gwoza, Borno State.
The attack, which occurred on Saturday, June 29, 2024, resulted in the loss of 20 lives and injured 52 others.
A statement by Major General Edward Buba, Director of Defence Media Operations, the attacks were carried out by female suicide bombers who detonated improvised explosive devices (IEDs) at a wedding reception and other locations in Gwoza.
The military has condemned the attack as a “reprehensible act of terror” and assured that it will do everything possible to ensure that the perpetrators are brought to justice.
“We are calling on citizens to stand united and vigilant in the face of this attack, and to continue supporting the efforts of the armed forces to ensure a secure and peaceful future.
