NCDC Announces Three New Molecular Labs For COVID-19 Test In Rivers And Edo

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC has announced the completion of three new molecular laboratory network for testing of coronavirus patients in Rivers and Edo State.

In a Twitter post on Sunday, the health agency disclosed that two were in University of Port Harcourt Teaching Hospital, UPTH and Rivers State University Teaching Hospital, RSUTH, both in Rivers State and one in University of Benin Teaching Hospital, UBTH in Edo State.

This brings the laboratories in Nigeria with the capacity to test for #COVID19 to 23.”

“UPDATE: 3 new labs have been included in our molecular laboratory network for #COVID19 at @UpthOnline, Port Harcourt, @RSUTH_PH satellite lab, Port Harcourt,@ubthng PCR laboratory, Benin.

“This brings the number of labs in Nigeria with the capacity to test for #COVID19 to 23.”
