Moove, the Lagos-founded global mobility company, has announced plans to exit the Nigerian market after six years of operations, transferring vehicles valued at approximately ₦35 billion to eligible customers at no additional cost.

The company disclosed the decision on Thursday, stating that customers covered by the arrangement would assume full ownership of their vehicles, with no further payment to Moove required for the vehicles from October 1, 2026.

Founded in 2020, Moove built its Nigerian business around vehicle financing and mobility services, enabling drivers to access vehicles through financing arrangements tied to their earnings.

The company said the transfer of vehicle ownership marked a significant shift in its Nigerian operations, although it did not provide further details on the reasons for its exit.

The development comes amid major changes in Nigeria’s ride-hailing sector, following Uber’s withdrawal from the country in September 2026.

Moove’s exit marks the end of its Nigerian operations, while eligible customers stand to benefit from gaining full ownership of vehicles worth billions of naira.
