Oyo State Governor Seyi Makinde has unveiled two new surveillance aircraft as part of efforts to improve intelligence gathering and strengthen the fight against insecurity across the state.
The aircraft are expected to enhance aerial surveillance, support rapid response operations and improve coordination among security agencies in monitoring criminal activities, particularly in remote and vulnerable areas.
Governor Makinde said the investment underscores his administration’s commitment to protecting lives and property through the deployment of modern security technology and stronger inter-agency collaboration.
Security experts believe the addition of the surveillance aircraft could boost the state’s capacity to combat kidnapping, armed robbery and other security threats by providing real-time intelligence for law enforcement operations.
