Former Vice President and 2023 Presidential Candidate of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, on Thursday night paid a private visit to former Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Prof. Isa Ali Pantami, at his Abuja residence.
Pantami disclosed the visit in a post on his official X handle, where he shared details of their discussions.
“Last night, I received the friendly visit of His Excellency Alhaji Atiku Abubakar, GCON, former Vice President of Nigeria and the Presidential Candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) in 2023, as my guest at home in Abuja. The visit centred on meaningful discussions about the economy, education, unity, and governance, among other essential topics,” Pantami wrote.
He added that his family expressed gratitude for the former Vice President’s visit and the time he spent with them.
Notably, Atiku’s nocturnal meeting with Pantami comes just a few days after former Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, also visited the former minister at night, sparking public curiosity over the high-profile courtesy calls.
The back-to-back visits by two leading opposition figures have drawn attention in political circles, with analysts linking them to ongoing consultations ahead of future political realignments.
