Leading the NYSC team to Abia State Government House for the donation, the State Coordinator of NYSC Abia, Lady Bona Fasakin said the gesture was to support government’s effort in curbing the the spread of the pandemic.

Receiving the items on behalf of the state government, the Secretary to Abia State Government and Chairman, Inter-Ministerial Committee on COVID-19, Barr. Chris Ezem described the NYSC scheme as a relevant agency spearheading the fight against pandemic in the country.

While appreciating the corps members for the donation, Ezem urged them to step up efforts in sensitizing people on the protocols of preventing COVID-19 in their various communities.

He further urged the corps members to think outside the box and create innovative ideas that will make them remain relevant in the scheme of things after their service year.
