  A middlee aged man has been shot dead by unknown assailants at about 6:30p.m.on Thursday at Ibusa Junction in Asaba. The deceased, popularly known as A’Boy, laid in the pool of his blood on the road and caused traffic jam along the Nnebisi Road. The Federal High court sitting in Abuja has declared Alhaji Mohammed Sani Musa as the winner of the Niger East APC Senatorial District primaries.  In a landmark judgement on Thursday, the court declared Musa winner of the October 2nd primaries having pulled the total votes of 39,192 votes as against Senator David Umaru’s votes of 5,870. The federal government and the Academic Staff Union of Universities, ASUU, are expected to hold another meeting on Thursday as part of the effort to resolve the issues that led to the strike in public universities since November 2018. No fewer that 80% of members of the Academic Staff Union of Universities (ASUU) have voted for the continuation of the ongoing nationwide strike. It was gathered that over 200 members of the University of Ibadan, UI, chapter of the Union who attended the congress voted for the continuation of the strike while a little above 50 voted for its suspension with conditions.
