The Telecommunications services provider, Airtel Nigeria, has joined other telecom operators to introduce eSIM (embedded SIM) – a digital SIM that enables customers to access the same functionality as someone using a physical SIM. The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control and Prevention, NCDC, has attributed the current outbreak of diphtheria in some parts of Nigeria to a drop in childhood vaccination coverage in some areas of the country.
