Chukwuma Soludo, Anambra governor, says the Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has directed commercial banks to pay out old and new notes to customers. The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) yesterday vowed to continue to arrest and prosecute those involved in the creation and circulation of fake redesigned naira notes. Speaking in an interview with NAN in Abuja on Sunday, Ahmed Audi, NSCDC’s commandant-general, said the number of cases of fake naira notes circulation had become worrisome. The IReV portal was part of the technologies introduced by the commission to improve the transparency of the electoral process.
