Cameroon’s President, Paul Biya has reshuffled his military commanders.

Biya has been in power since 1982. The key changes in the country’s ministry of defense, comes hours after the coup in Gabon.

Paul Biya, 90 years old (born 13 February 1933), has been the president of Cameroon since November 6, 1982.

Prior to that post, he served as prime minister (1975–82).

He is Africa’s second-longest-reigning president, the world’s oldest non-royal national leader, the oldest head of state in the world, and the oldest president in Africa.
