Access Bank has announced the commencement of applications for the 2025 edition of its flagship Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton programme, aimed at equipping female entrepreneurs across Africa with critical business skills, mentorship, and funding opportunities.
The application window, which opened on Friday, September 19, will close on Friday, October 3, 2025.
Speaking at a press conference in Lagos, Group Head of Women Banking, Nene Kunle-Ogunlusi, described the programme as a life-changing platform that has empowered hundreds of women since its inception in 2019. “This year, the program is back and better, offering women entrepreneurs the opportunity to scale their businesses, gain visibility, and connect with like-minded trailblazers across the continent,” she said.
The 2025 edition will feature an intensive Mini-MBA programme in collaboration with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), providing participants with advanced training and tools to build sustainable enterprises. In addition, more than N17.5 million will be awarded in grants to outstanding participants, while other finalists will also receive business support services to strengthen their operations.
Project Manager for the initiative, Oyeyipo Ifeoluwa, disclosed that since 2019, Access Bank has trained 878 women and awarded grants worth $175,000 through the Womenpreneur Pitch-a-Ton. “The programme is not just about competition; it is a holistic journey designed to transform women-led businesses and contribute to Africa’s economic development,” she said.
The programme is open to women entrepreneurs whose businesses are duly registered, have operated for at least one year, and where the applicant holds no less than 50 percent ownership.
