Asari Dokubo, the leader of the Niger Delta Peoples Salvation Force (NDPSF) has underplayed the recent revelation of alleged mismanagement of funds in the Niger Delta Development Commission (NDDC).
The Interim Management Committee of the Commission is being probed by the House of Representatives Committee on NDDC over alleged financial mismanagement of N81 billion.
Reacting to the development, Dokubo described the amount allegedly looted in the NDDC as “pick-pocketed” sum in comparison with the huge sums of money and resources being illegally carted away from the nation’s treasury.
“We are talking about N81 billion being pick-pocketed from Niger Delta while the bulk of our money, our resources is being carted away and we are not talking,” he said.
“They want me to run after pickpocketers and leave armed robbers that are coming into my house.
“When they talk about Akpabio, tell them about Malami, when they talk about Joy, tell them about Sadiya, when they talk about any senator, tell them about Magu.”
