587 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the total to 17,735 in the country.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) broke the news on Wednesday via its verified Twitter handle.
Of the 587 new cases, Lagos recorded 155; the highest daily infections, followed by Edo with 75 and the FCT with 67. Others are Rivers-65, Oyo-56, Delta-50, Bayelsa-25, Plateau-18, Kaduna-18, Enugu-17, Borno-12, Ogun-12, Ondo-7, Kwara-4, Kano-2, Gombe-2, Sokoto-1 and Kebbi-1.
Total number of discharged and death cases rose to 5,967 and 469 respectively.
