BREAKING: Coronavirus Cases In Nigeria Exceeds 2,000, As 238 New Infections Are Confirmed

238 new cases of coronavirus have been confirmed in Nigeria, bringing the total to 2,170 in the country.

The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control, NCDC broke the news on Friday via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the 238 new cases, 92 new cases were confirmed in Kano, 36 in Abuja, 30 in Lagos, 16 in Gombe, 10 in Bauchi, eight in Delta, six in Oyo, five in Zamfara and Sokoto, four in Ondo and Nasarawa, three in Kwara, Edo, Ekiti, Borno, and Yobe, two in Adamawa, and one each in Niger, Imo, Ebonyi, Rivers and Enugu.

32 new cases were also discharged while 10 new deaths were recorded, taking the toll to 351 and 68 respectively.

NCDC tweeted: “238 new cases of #COVID19; 92-Kano 36-FCT 30-Lagos 16-Gombe 10-Bauchi 8-Delta 6-Oyo 5-Zamfara 5-Sokoto 4-Ondo 4-Nasarawa 3-Kwara 3-Edo 3-Ekiti 3-Borno 3-Yobe 2-Adamawa 1-Niger 1-Imo 1-Ebonyi 1-Rivers 1-Enugu.

“2170 confirmed cases of #COVID19 in Nigeria Discharged: 351 Deaths: 68.”
