Former Vice-President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has launched a citizen-engagement platform designed to enable Nigerians to question him directly on his political record, policy proposals and plans for the country ahead of the 2027 general election.
The platform, tagged Ask AA, is scheduled to go live at 8:30 pm on Thursday, according to a statement by the Director of Strategic Communication for the ADC Presidential Campaign Council, Phrank Shaibu.
The initiative will allow Nigerians to submit questions on critical national issues, including the economy, security, technology, job creation and measures to reduce the cost of living.
According to the campaign team, Atiku will personally respond to questions submitted through the portal, with members of his media team also assisting in providing answers.
The platform is intended to create a direct communication channel between the former Vice-President and Nigerians, allowing citizens to seek clarification on his positions, scrutinise his political record and assess his proposed solutions to the country’s challenges.
Shaibu said the initiative was designed to bring Atiku closer to the electorate through direct engagement and a practical, problem-solving approach.
He added that the platform reflected the former Vice-President’s commitment to using modern technology to make governance more efficient, secure and effective.
The launch comes as political activities gather momentum ahead of the 2027 presidential election, with candidates increasingly seeking ways to communicate their policy positions and engage voters.
Through Ask AA, Atiku’s campaign hopes to provide Nigerians with an opportunity to raise concerns, demand explanations and obtain answers on issues that could shape their decisions at the polls.
The initiative also places public scrutiny and accountability at the centre of the campaign’s engagement strategy, although its effectiveness will depend on the accessibility of the platform and the substance and timeliness of the responses provided.
