Tinubu should Consider Revamp Refineries alongside Palliative Measures — Expert

A Senior economic expert,  Paul Alaje has said that President Bola Tinubu should also consider reviving the Moribon refineries that have long decayed alongside his palliative measures.

The Meridian Spy reports that President had announced his plans to address the worried fuel subsidy removal and the plan palliative to cushion  the effect on Nigerians.

Recall the during the nationwide address broadcast on Monday night, the President noted explained economic plans to drive growth in the economy.

Alaje, who spoke on Arise TV yesterday after the president’s address said Tinubu should look at revamping the refinery.

He said “People can take hope for break fast, but hope will not last when it come to dinner.

“When the hope is deferred, there will be a lot of concerns. Before the subsidy might have been removed, some of the plans might have be in place. So that by now the buses the President hopr to provide which have direct immediate impact should be be inplace.

“Naira is substable with exchange rates, what about if the dollar riases again? Will the fuel price raise  again? If it increases, to how much, will that be another palliagain? For like twonmonths, we have seen fuel price increases from over 500 to 600.

“I understand the prswndie t sympathise with Nigerian a over the issue. For the promises he made tjhis is the first time am seeing relatively tangible thing been press t to Nigerians.” he said
