Tinubu Picks Uba Sani to Drive Renewed Hope Agenda Nationwide
President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has appointed Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, as Renewed Hope Ambassador and Deputy Director-General for party outreach, engagement and mobilisation.
The appointment, which takes immediate effect, was announced in a statement issued on Tuesday by the Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga.
President Tinubu, who is the leader of the All Progressives Congress, said the decision was informed by Governor Sani’s leadership qualities and organisational competence.
Under the new role, Governor Sani is expected to work closely with the director-general of the Renewed Hope Ambassador initiative and the party hierarchy, particularly the national chairman of the APC, to promote harmony, inclusiveness and strategic coordination across all levels of party mobilisation and engagement.
The President charged the governor to galvanise support for the party by promoting and disseminating its programmes, policies, milestones and achievements, with a view to strengthening public confidence and reinforcing the Renewed Hope agenda nationwide.
In a letter conveying the appointment, President Tinubu emphasised that the overarching goal is to ensure broad national acceptance of the party and its candidates ahead of the 2027 general elections.
“The overall objective of your appointment is to ensure that the entire citizenry is aware of, understands, and ultimately supports our party and its candidates at all levels for broad national acceptance in the 2027 election. Preparation is critical and essential to achieving this outcome, and your leadership will be central to guiding this process effectively and strategically,” the President wrote.
The statement reiterated the administration’s commitment to consolidating party structures and enhancing grassroots engagement as part of preparations for future electoral contests.
