PEPT Judgment on Obi, Atiku To be Transmitted Live – Court

PEPT Judgment on Obi, Atiku To be Transmitted Live – Cour

The court of appeal has announced that, the Presidential Election Petition Tribunal (PEPT) judgement will be transmitted live by any interested Television stations.

The court ao urged members of the public to stay back and watch the judgement on the television.

In a statement issued on Monday by Mr Umar Bangari, the Chief Registrar Court of Appeal, he said that, the PEPT judgment which will be delivered on Wednesday 6, September 2023, are cases between the Labour Party (LP) Presidential Candidate Mr. Peter Gregory Obi and another VS. Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) and 3 others, Allied Peoples Movement (APM) VS. INEC, and 4 others, Abubakar Atiku and another VS. INEC, and 2 others.

Mr Bangari also said that access to the court premises will be ‘strictly’ on accreditation, adding that only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be granted access into the Courtroom.

PRESIDENTIAL ELECTION PETITION JUDGMENTS TO BE DELIVERED ON WEDNESDAY G™ SEPTEMBER, 2023 AND TELEVISED LIVE
ENTRY INTO THE VENUE WILL BE STRICTLY UPON ACCREDITATION

The Court of Appeal wishes to inform the General Public that judgment in the following petitions before the Presidential Election Petition Court will be delivered on Wednesday 6′ September, 2023:

• CA/PEPC/03/2023 between Mr. Peter Gregory Obi & Anor VS.
Independent National Electoral Commission & 3 Ors.
• CA/PEPC/04/2023 between Allied Peoples Movement VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 4 Ors.
• CA/PEPC/05/2023 between Abubakar Atiku & Anor VS. Independent National Electoral Commission & 2 Ors.

In a bid to promote transparency and openness, these judgments will be televised live by interested Television Stations for the public to follow.

IMPORTANT NOTE: Access to the Court premises will be strietly on accreditation. Only accredited individuals, including Counsel and representatives of Political Parties, will be granted access into the Courtroom. Interested members ofthe public are advised to watch proceedings from their television sets.
