Nigeria Records 182 New COVID-19 Cases, Total Now 8,915

182 new coronavirus cases have been confirmed in Nigeria, taking the tally of infections in the country to 8,915.

This was announced by the Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) on Thursday via its verified Twitter handle.

Of the 182 new infections, 111 were confirmed in Lagos, 16 in FCT, 10 in Akwa Ibom,eight in Oyo, six in Kaduna and Delta, five in Rivers, four in Ogun and Ebonyi, three in Kano, two in Plateau, Kwara and Gombe, and one each in Kebbi, Bauchi and Borno.

91 new patients were discharged from isolation centres across the country, bringing the total recoveries to 2,592.

Total fatalities also rose to 259 after five new deaths were confirmed.

A breakdown of cases by NCDC on Twitter reads: “182 new cases of #COVID19;
