Prince Abubakar Audu University (PAAU), Anyigba, has commenced the development of a Research Centre of Excellence and Digital Library aimed at strengthening academic research, innovation and learning within the institution. The project was initiated by the Executive Secretary of the Financial Reporting Council of Nigeria, Dr. Rabiu Olowo, an alumnus of the university.
According to the project’s coordinators, the facility will be built to international standards and will feature a modern digital library with access to academic resources, particularly in accounting and related disciplines. The centre is also expected to collaborate with local and international professional bodies to expand access to digital learning materials.
In addition to supporting teaching and research, the facility will provide high-speed internet, uninterrupted power supply, seminar rooms and funding opportunities for researchers. The initiative is expected to enhance the university’s research capacity and promote academic excellence.
