Former Ekiti State governor, Kayode Fayose has called on the Nigeria Government to intervene in the Network and Cable TV providers to reduce their tariffs to support Nigerians during the harsh coronavirus pandemic period.

In a Twitter post on Wednesday, Fayose said there has been an increase in data usage by Nigerians who had been at home ever since the lockdown took effect and now that it is gradually being relaxed, hence the need for government to show support to the citizens by prevailing on the network and cable TV providers to reduce their tariffs.

He tweeted: “Nigerians have been at home since the beginning of this Covid-19 pandemic, even now that the lock down is relaxed, causing increase in Data usage. Govt will be kind enough to prevail on Network and Cable TV Providers to reduce their tariffs to support Nigerians at this time.”
