Dr. Uchechukwu Sampson Ogah is an unsung hero. Yes, he is an unsung hero because he is far more than the accolades and testimonies you see out there about him. Dr. Ogah is an exceptional being sent from God to impact mankind.

All the testimonies and eulogies you see out there are not exaggerations. As a matter of fact, they’re meiotic. I recall vividly when I was to launch my first book, The Master Plan, in November 2020. I visited his mansion at the Presidential Villa in the company of my dear brother, Loveday Chukwuma Ogah, to request his approval as the Chairman of the occasion.

He was the Minister of State, Mines and Steel. Immediately, I introduced myself and stated why I was in his house. He immediately obliged my request and even offered to facilitate advert placement on our platform from his company even when I never asked. That is who Dr. Ogah is. Simple, selfless, kindhearted, and humble.

Interestingly, at 56, he has lived the greater chunk of his life to impart lives, empower people, and uplift the poor. He did these in his capacity as a private citizen, even before he tasted political power.

Remarkably, he has only spent four years as a public servant out of these 56 years, yet his impacts are unprecedented and evidently unmatched. In the last 20 years, he has given more than five thousand students scholarships to study in Nigeria and different countries abroad. I remember in 2006 how my late aunty visited him in Lagos only to return with a brand new Toyota Carina saloon.

Dr. Ogah, as an industrialist, founded Masters Group in 2005, with Masters Energy as its flagship company. Since then, he has exponentially grown and expanded the conglomerate to more than fifteen subsidiaries, cutting across oil and gas, manufacturing, fintech, aviation services, among others. He did this by leveraging his acumen and ingenuity as a genius.

Dr. Ogah, as a politician and leader, typifies administrative excellence. As a pathfinder and purveyor of radical benevolence, he prioritises human capital development over frivolities, bravado, and histrionics, which adduces his passion for empowerment and resuscitation. As a leader,  Dr. Ogah redefines focus and recalibrates excellence to accommodate the desires of the common man on the streets.

He passionately seeks to reconstruct societal ills and put smiles on the faces of the less-privileged. He sees himself as a leader called to cause a paradigm shift, a drift from the old to a new world, where both the rich and poor will have equal access and privilege.

Dr. Ogah, as a philanthropist, is a man whose large heart knows no bounds. He has supported children of the poor, given them hope, and given meaning to the lives of innumerable souls across tribes, locations, and social statuses. He has helped many foot their medical bills, sponsored thousands in education, and empowered many to find their footing in life.

Dr. Ogah is one politician I am sure would do exactly what Dr. Alex Otti is currently doing in our dear state, Abia, if he had the opportunity. I state this without mincing words, after the eight year tenure of Dr. Otti, Dr. Ogah would have to step in to ensure continuity of his legacies and even do more. As a seasoned industrialist and a leadership cognoscente, he comes with the requisite experience to sustain the tempo and  even exceed expectations.

In this regard, Abia needs him in its alchemy of transformation, and not the other way round. As an accomplished individual in all ramifications, he doesn’t need Abia to achieve anything he hasn’t already achieved. Hence, I see Dr. Ogah at the helm of affairs as the Executive Governor of Abia State 2031 2038, and I have no doubt he would blaze the trail and surpass expectations.

Dear Dr. Ogah, as you turn 56 today, I wish you all the good things you deserve, especially those within the pyramid of your heart desires. This is because you competently deserve everything good.

Please,  prepare to serve our people come 2031. Quite palpably, you are the most qualified, most competent, most humane, and most benignant Abian alive to carry on mantle from where Dr. Otti shall stop,  and ensure transitionable continuity beyond the liminal for the common good of our people.

Until then, we shall keep hope alive. Happy Birthday, Your Excellency. I wish you well now and always.
