The number of coronavirus cases in Nigeria has increased by 664 new infections to hit 31,987.
The Nigeria Centre for Disease Control (NCDC) made the announcement on Saturday via its verified Twitter handle.
Of the new cases, Lagos, the epicentre of the virus, recorded 224; the highest on the list of cases by states, followed by FCT with 105 and Edo 85. Others are Ondo-64, Kaduna-32, Imo-27, Osun-19, Plateau-17, Oyo-17, Ogun-17, Rivers-14, Delta-11, Adamawa-10, Enugu-7, Nassarawa-6, Gombe-3, Abia-3 and Ekiti-3.
308 patients were newly discharged, pushing the total to 13,103 while fatalities rose to 724 in the country.
