Former Vice-President and African Democratic Congress (ADC) presidential candidate, Atiku Abubakar, has appointed former Kaduna State Governor, Nasir el-Rufai, and businessman Mohammed Hayatu-Deen to the party’s 2027 Presidential Campaign Council.
According to a statement by Atiku’s media aide, Phrank Shaibu, Kashim Ibrahim-Imam will serve as chairman of the council, while el-Rufai will be deputy chairman.
Austin Akobundu was appointed Director-General and Campaign Manager, with responsibility for coordinating the campaign’s structures and operations.
Hayatu-Deen, who also contested the ADC presidential primary alongside Atiku, will coordinate the campaign’s policy team.
