The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticised former Labour Party presidential candidate Peter Obi over his recent comments on the state of the nation, insisting that Nigeria requires continuity in governance rather than a complete political reset.

In a statement, the ruling party argued that the current administration is implementing reforms aimed at addressing long-standing economic and security challenges. The APC maintained that abandoning these policies midway could undermine the progress already being made.

The party also accused Obi of painting an overly negative picture of the country, stressing that while challenges remain, sustained implementation of ongoing policies is necessary to achieve lasting results.

The exchange is the latest in a series of political disagreements between the APC and opposition figures as discussions around Nigeria’s future and the 2027 general elections continue to gather momentum.
