The pro-Adams Oshiomhole National Working Committee of the All Progressive Congress (APC) has faulted its dissolution by the National Executive Council of the party.

MERIDIAN SPY reported earlier, the party’s NEC, in a meeting convened by the factional Acting National Chairman, Victor Giadom, resolved to dissolve the NWC and subsequently appointed Yobe State Governor, Malla Buni as the Chairman of the Caretaker Committee/Extra Ordinary Convention Planning Committee of the party.

However, reacting to the development, a member of the pro-Oshiomole NWC told Daily Sun in confidence that arrangements have been concluded to seek legal redress.

Faulting NWC’s decision, the NWC member insisted that there is no provision of a Caretaker Committee in the constitution of the ruling party, insisting that they have many grounds of infractions committed from the resolutions of NEC.

“We will soon issue statement but we have resolved to head to court for the legal interpretations of the decision of NEC especially as it concerns our dissolution. Yes, we know that Oshiomhole has his faults, but with all the positive contributions he has made to reposition the party, won’t he have been given to honours of telling him to resign?” he querried.

Meanwhile, Governor Buni, upon accepting his new appointment in the party, promised to be just and fair to all members as the party seeks a permanent solution to its crisis.

“After being two-time National Secretary of the party, I can say I know the party very well. I want to assure every APC member that we will do justice to everyone because we have a capable team,” he told newsmen during a brief stopover at the party’s National Secretariat, in Abuja.

“I am a team player and I am here to manage a crisis and if you do not manage crisis, crisis will manage you. So, without justice there will be no peace, so I am ready to do justice to every APC member.

“NEC is the highest organ of the party except for the convention, and NEC can function for convention in-between, so any decision taken by NEC is the final decision. NEC has directed that every member in court should withdraw his suit.

“(The) party will carry all members along especially the leaders of the APC. Many of them have paid their dues. So, we will carry them along.”

The APC Caretaker Chairman also paid tribute to the dissolved National Working Committee (NWC) for the contributions made in the development of the party, stressing that with the decision, they have no role to play in the running of the party.

He stormed the secretariat with the governors of Kano, Umar Ganduje, Kaduna, Mallam El-Rufai, Kogi, Yahaya Bello, Gombe, Inua Yahaya, among others.
