The All Progressives Congress (APC) has appointed Kaduna State Governor, Uba Sani, as Chairman of its Campaign Council for the forthcoming Ekiti State governorship election.

The appointment was conveyed in a letter dated April 24, 2026, and signed by the party’s National Secretary, Surajudeen Ajibola Basiru, on behalf of the National Working Committee.

According to the letter, the party said Sani’s selection was in recognition of his “distinguished leadership, political experience, and commitment” to the success of the APC in what it described as a critical election.

The party expressed confidence that under his leadership, the campaign would be effectively coordinated to secure victory at the poll.

In the same correspondence, the APC also invited the Kaduna governor to attend the official flag-off rally of the governorship campaign scheduled for Monday, April 27, 2026.

The rally is expected to hold at the Ekiti Parapo Pavilion by 11:00 a.m., where party faithful and supporters are anticipated to gather ahead of the election.

The party noted that Sani’s presence at the event would energise supporters and set the tone for a robust campaign.
