Borno State Governor, Prof. Babagana Zulum, has threatened to take disciplinary actions against medical workers found wanting in the discharge of their duties.

He gave the warning on Thursday during an unannounced visit to the Umaru Shehu Ultra Modern Hospital in Maiduguri.

He expressed disappointment with the staff’s attitude towards patients. At the hospital’s emergency unit, Zulum told the staff that such behaviour would not be tolerated under his administration.

He said there were numerous complaints from the public against some staff of the hospital.

He emphasized the importance of providing quality healthcare services to the people and urged the staff to be more compassionate and diligent in their duties.
